This might be the last IMM post I do for a while. I’m being very strict with myself when it comes to acquiring new books and requesting ARCs, since my TBR pile is getting out of control. I’ve accepted the fact that I can no longer go on gathering books, not having enough time to read them, yet continuing to buy/borrow/request more. It’s not healthy behaviour, and along with it comes the stress and defeat of having a huge TBR pile.  So I’m taking some time to de-stress and focus on the books I have. I bought them to enjoy, and I’m going to do just that.

That said, my one bookish purchase for the week wasn’t a book at all. I preordered a Kobo Mini. It’s a pocket-sized ereader that looks to be about the size of a large cellphone, due to ship in early October. I’ve been considering whether to incorporate epub into my reading habits for a long time, since so far I’ve been pretty loyal to mobi. I figured now was a good time to invest, since the Mini looks so convenient and is as a very reasonable price. I also like the idea of integrated social media tools on an ereader. The only thing that concerns me is that a smaller screen size might mean more page turns, and therefore more clicking/tapping. When it gets here in about a month, I’ll post a product review.
